Drawn Together: A Tribute to Keith Haring and AIDS Activism

Drawn Together (400 x 200 px)

Exhibition Dates: December 1, 2024 – January 10, 2025

This exhibition celebrates the groundbreaking legacy of Keith Haring, an iconic artist and activist whose bold, animated imagery became a universal visual language.

About Keith Haring

Keith Allen Haring (1958–1990) was an American artist whose vibrant pop art emerged from New York City’s graffiti subculture in the 1980s. His work, characterized by rhythmic lines, energetic figures, and bold colors, conveyed themes of unity, love, and social justice.

Haring used his platform to amplify awareness of AIDS, passionately advocating for compassion and education during the height of the epidemic. Diagnosed with AIDS himself, he continued to create until his untimely death in 1990 at just 31 years old.

About the Exhibition

This exhibit features works created by artists of all ages and skill levels, inspired by Haring’s influential art and activism. Many participating artists attended a hands-on workshop where they explored Haring’s dynamic style and message. Others created their contributions independently, embracing his spirit of accessibility and community engagement.
