Tapestry of Two: A Mother and Son's Creative Connection
With Special Reception November 9
CAMP Rehoboth is excited to announce the opening of "Tapestry of Two: A Mother and Son's Creative Connection" with a special reception on November 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. This extraordinary exhibition weaves together visual arts, poetry, music, and fabric art, presenting the fusion of the creative spirits of mother and son, artists Coca de Silveira and Guillermo Silveira. Their unique relationship is the heart of this exhibition, where maternal inspiration and shared artistic vision create a deeply personal and powerful narrative.
On November 9, join us for a reception celebrating this multifaceted exhibit. Enjoy music and refreshments that celebrate their Argentinian heritage. Coca’s art, including her visual art and design work, finds its muse in Guillermo’s evocative instrumental music, while much of Guillermo’s art is shaped by his admiration for his mother’s strength and creativity.
Coca de Silveira, a renowned fashion designer born in Buenos Aires, has made her mark designing for Argentina’s elite and film stars. Her artistry extends beyond fashion into painting, mixed media, and French laminated crafts, all expressing her enduring love for beauty and design.
Guillermo Silveira, a composer, concert pianist, poet, and peace activist, draws on Pan-American influences, blending the passion of Argentine tango with the innovations of modern American composers. His music spans genres from cantatas to operas, and his interdisciplinary approach incorporates both primitive instruments and cutting-edge electronic sounds. Together his music with the works of other artists continues his lifelong dedication to fostering collaboration across artistic mediums.
CAMP Rehoboth is honored to highlight this exceptional exhibition, highlighting our ongoing commitment to fostering diversity, creativity, and community connection. The gallery is open Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Make time to stop by and experience the compelling stories and artistry that that this exhibition offers.
