Discover the joy of giving back and making a tangible impact on your community with CAMP Rehoboth Outreach Program (CROP). There's something uniquely fulfilling about stepping back to admire a newly planted garden, strolling along a litter-free beach, preparing food boxes for families in need, or knowing that repairs made will enhance the riding experience for those participating in equine therapy.

Our Purpose

CROP is dedicated to addressing a myriad of community needs, from combating hunger and homelessness to improving the environment and bringing enriching activities to individuals of all ages. As an extension of CAMP Rehoboth, CROP unites individuals and groups, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility to create a better, more vibrant environment for all.

A Rich History of Service

What started as Volunteer on Vacation (VOV) in 2009, where a group of individuals came together to paint the West Rehoboth Community Center, evolved into CAMP Rehoboth Outreach Program (CROP) in 2015. The new name better reflects our commitment to outreach and community improvement.

Join the Movement

CROP welcomes anyone with a few spare hours and a willingness to make a difference. No special skills are required; every CROP project is designed to be rewarding and fun. Our volunteers, easily recognizable in their bright green tee shirts, actively engage in diverse activities—from working with kids to clearing trails, cooking for the homeless, sorting canned goods at the Food Bank of Delaware, and representing CAMP Rehoboth in the community.

Impactful Numbers

In 2023 alone, 174 CROP volunteers collectively dedicated 566 hours to various projects, contributing $18,000 in value to organizations that serve the community. Some of the organizations benefiting from our volunteers include:

Brandywine Valley SPCA
Delaware Botanic Gardens
Delaware of Natural Resources & Environmental Control (DNREC)
Food Bank of Delaware
Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park
Habitat for Humanity
International Student Outreach Program (ISOP)
Rehoboth Art League
Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding (SDTR)
