LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth

SPEAK Out

In July of last year, I decided to move to California to become a partner in a landscaping company. Much to my dismay, the first day there I ended up in the emergency room of a local hospital, followed by 4 hours of back surgery, 12 days in the hospital with 2 weeks of home IV antibiotics twice a day. Needless to say, the job evaporated, along with my savings, repossession of my truck, etc. No airline would bring my 26 pound, 12-year-old dog home. So my partner Danny drove 3100 miles to pick me up and bring me home.

Anyhow, the Black & White Ball has always been one of our favorite events. So off we gome limpingand I was able to get lots of smiles, lots of hugs and kisses. To be part of the CAMP Rehoboth family, even on the outskirts, truly raised my spirits and reminded me of all I had left in July of ’07!

It was great seeing all the old gang, tired as always, open arms as always. I just thought I’d take a minute to say how great the night was and that I’m looking forward to volunteering wherever I’m needed on Love Weekend in July.

Great seeing you all again, looking forward to a great summer.
