Black and White Beach Ball, June 1 Features HeART Art 2013
CAMP Rehoboth is again inviting revelers to get decked out in black and white casual garb and come to Clear Space Theatre for the Black and White Beach Ball, June 1, from 5-8 p.m. The event, which features delectable small plate dining and open bar, will feature a live auction of original artworks. Proceeds support the activities, events, and programs of CAMP Rehoboth. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online or by calling 302-227-5620 (membership discounts available).
The HeART of the Community art auction held during the Black and White Beach Ball is a curated invitational event, featuring the work of 20 artists. (See page 36.) Attendees can enjoy the opportunity to mingle with the artists during the evening, while hoping to take home one of the works up for bid. Curators Murray Archibald, Michael Sprouse, and Ellyn Weiss have selected a variety of styles and mediums to make the 2013 HeART auction a great event. Lorne Crawford will again serve as auctioneer of this much-anticipated part of the evening. The ball is held at Clear Space Theatre, which is located at 20 Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
All the HeART of the Community art can be previewed on Memorial Day weekend at the Sneak Peek Art Preview party at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center on Sunday, May 26, 5-7 p.m.
The 2013 Black and White Beach Ball Presenting Sponsor is PNC Wealth Management. “The Black and White Beach Ball wouldn’t happen without their support,” says CAMP Rehoboth Executive Director, Steve Elkins. “We’re very grateful to have such a generous partner for this event.”

Have Fun, Play Smart! Welcome Summer 2013!
At the start of what promises to be a great summer season, we think that it is important to remind residents and visitors alike that we take pride in having a resort that has room for all…with respect for all. Have fun, but be safe when you play. CAMP Rehoboth’s CAMPsafe program provides free HIV and STD testing, as well as condoms and information on safer sex. Stop by the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center at 37 Baltimore Avenue for information and supplies. And remember, sex on the beach is a drink, not a way of life.
